Following on from the very successful Infection Prevention & Control Nurses Conference (IPCNC) in Auckland in 2017, we are pleased to announce that the 2018 conference will be in Lower Hutt from 30 October to 2 November.
This three-day seminar brings infection prevention and control professionals together to share their ideas, innovations and issues, and gives them opportunities to develop positive and co-operative connections benefiting individuals and organisations working in this field. IPCNC 2018 is expected to attract up to 200 delegates from all sectors of the healthcare industry in New Zealand.
Inspired by the antibiotic era in the 1940’s, and the dawning of new challenges such as MRSA and HIV in the 1980’s, the theme for IPCNC 2018 is “Learning from the Past, Looking to the Future”. IPCNC 2018 will celebrate the achievements of past work in infection prevention and control, and consider the impacts of current innovations in antibiotic resistance and stewardship, hand hygiene, HIV, and sterilisation into the future.
